MY ROLE

For Burger King: WTFanta, I applied motion tracking and 3D animation to create an immersive “backrooms” experience that blurred the line between reality and surreal fantasy. My role involved compositing 3D elements seamlessly into live-action footage, including modeling and animating a strawberry cake that became a key visual in the campaign. In addition, I developed an interactive AR filter that allowed users to explore the eerie, glowing backrooms world for themselves, bringing the WTFanta universe to life through motion, design, and tech-driven storytelling.

Burger King | WTFanta?

A new, fruity, mysterious Fanta flavor is coming to Burger King. BK asked us to get our fans in on the mystery and lore to get them guessing what the new frozen Fanta flavor might be. So we built a 3D environment with clues about the new flavor and asked our fans for help.

In this truly bizarre social campaign, we explored the Backrooms in a series of videos, each containing clues to help solve for the mystery flavor and ultimately leading up to a surreal flavor reveal.

Welcome To The Backrooms

With each installment, we showed more clues related to the mystery Fanta flavor, but also made the videos more unsettling leading up to the flavor reveal.

As part of the reveal, we also released a playable Instagram AR filter that let players explore the backrooms for themselves. Built into the experience was a game that had you flinging green herrings at slices of strawberry shortcake for points. Weird! (But fun!)
